Colleen’s passion to be with people in their suffering and brokenness while offering healing and assistance to reach their full potential was the initial impetus for the establishment of Watersedgecounselling. It began in 2003 when Colleen commenced a small private practice from her home in Belmont, Geelong where she would see individuals and conduct women’s retreats. The inspiration for the name Watersedge came from the Barwon River, located in close proximity and a constant source of calm and tranquillity
Five years later in 2009, Watersedgecounselling relocated to 230 LaTrobe Tce, Geelong West where Colleen’s practice expanded to see individuals, couples and families. Colleen built up her practice here until Watersedgecounselling relocated to the Geelong CBD, in November 2012. Now at her current location of 24 Moorabool St, Watersedgecounselling’s new home is ideal with its calming water and family-orientated atmosphere near the Geelong waterfront.
Initially in a smaller office, Watersedgecounselling quickly outgrew the venue and 12 months later, moved to a larger premise next door to the original one. This large airy room is the ideal location for the now thriving psychotherapy practice that includes children (play therapy), individuals, couples, families and groups.
In March 2014, Watersedgecounselling expanded further to welcome Duncan Morris who provides counselling, mentoring and supervision. As a husband and wife team, Colleen and Duncan are passionate about your growth and reaching your potential.
