I have worked in both the public and private sector, providing psychological counselling and group psych-education to adults and children. Myexperience has spanned across multiple settings including public mental health, outreach support, employment assistance programs, anger management and behaviour change, and crisis counselling.
I understand the unique presenting difficulties of each client and strive to help individuals build a higher level of insight into themselves, to develop their resilience and coping skills in order to make effective and sustainable changes. In discovering the areas of concern that each client brings to therapy, I draw upon several evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Mindfulness and Solution-focused therapy, which are selected on the client’s specific needs.
