Dr Kerri Thomas is a clinical psychologist and the director of Breakthrough Psychology. She has a masters in clinical psychology and a Doctor of Philosophy majoring in clinical psychology. Kerri specialises in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and has a lot of experience working with adolescent and adults.
Kerri has worked in forensic settings, private psychiatric facilities, public mental health settings, universities, and in organisational psychology. The range of issues that Kerri has encountered is large and varied, but commonly includes issues relating to anxiety, depression, stress, self-esteem, anger management, relationships, disordered eating and eating disorders, obesity, and bullying.
Breakthrough Psychology also provides online and phone counselling services to people living in remote and regional communities who have limited access to counsellors, or for anyone living in Australia who would prefer to speak to a counsellor online or on the phone.
