It is my life purpose to support people to pursue the life that inspires them most, to help them overcome any personal/psychological obstacles that hold them back, and to guide and coach them along the way toward a life that really matters - to them, and possibly to many others.
My particular interest, then, is working with people who want to make their life count; people who may be asking themselves "what is the meaning of my life, what is my life purpose, how can I live according to my true values?"
My approach to Life Coaching, Counselling and Psychotherapy is probably best described as an eclectic integration of several different modalities. Yet, the fundamental element, which I have found to be essential for true personal growth and fulfilment, is mindful awareness of one’s own moment-to-moment experience. This mindful awareness is also what links Life Coaching, Counselling and Psychotherapy to meditation, and this is the background to my statement that “psychotherapy is spiritual work with its feet on the ground.”
I grew up in Stockholm, Sweden. Since settling in Brisbane, 1992, I have been in full-time private practice as a Life Coach, Counsellor and Psychotherapist. I have dedicated my time to continually developing my professional skills, and to uncovering what works and what doesn’t work, when it comes to helping people find the way to the fulfilment they want in their lives.
I have completed post-graduate studies, gaining two more Masters Degrees, and conducted research in the area of mindfulness applied to psychotherapy supervision. I have developed a drug-free treatment for sleep problems, which has proven to be as effective as sleeping tablets. And since I have myself practised meditation for over 30 years, it has become a natural part of my work to also teach meditation courses.
I am PACFA accredited as a clinical supervisor for Counsellors and Psychotherapists.
