Renewal Counselling: genuine, attentive, caring.
My name is Paul Ellis; I am the founder of Renewal Counselling, serving the Barossa, Gawler and surrounds. I am a professionally qualified counsellor available to provide a genuine, attentive and caring counselling service.
At Renewal Counselling, I value 'journeying alongside you toward fulfillment & well-being'. Whether you are struggling, or wanting help to come up higher & pursue goals, I tailor solutions to you.
As a unique individual with your own set of fingerprints, interests and special way of doing things, you owe it to yourself and those close to you to seek positive growth and change.
I counsel at hired offices in Salt Clinic, 27 Northside Court, Evanston Gardens, and hired offices at 7 Maria Street, Tanunda.
TAILORED, EFFECTIVE COUNSELLING:
Here at Renewal Counselling, I'm optimistic my quality counselling skills - registered with the Australian Counselling Association - can ensure lasting positive changes in your life.
I will, in consultation with you, endeavor to provide a comprehensive, tailored counselling service to you, discussing options for referral where supplementary services appear warranted.
This enables the best individualised treatment to be offered.
Through diverse life experiences and a range of tertiary studies, I have worked in disability care, dementia aged care and hospital environments as an Enrolled Nurse.
Even earlier, I contributed with Customer Service in a contact centre, and as a Computer Operator in a large construction / engineering company.
MY VALUES:
We often talk about 'values', that is, the things that are most valuable to us as individuals.
Values I hold dear - which positively impact my counselling - include contribution, meaning, health, respect, integrity and stability.
Also justice, competence, honesty, wisdom, cooperation, structure, knowledge, nature and legacy.
Finally, values of intimacy, harmony, spirituality, family, creativity, curiosity and self-sufficiency are close to my heart.
To flesh out exactly what all that means would be too lengthy, but...
...it is enough to say my values centre around healthy relationships, helping society & contributing to vibrant lifestyles & more empowered people.
This is my motivation for doing what I do.
A FELLOW HUMAN BEING ON THE JOURNEY WITH YOU:
So, I'm a counsellor and have had a range of previous work roles.
Yet I am also a husband, a father, a son, a worker, and have experienced difficulties in my own life.
So I'm human too; I know what it's like to battle uncertainty and have struggles.
Notably one of my central strengths is in fact my personal experiences in having dealt with mental health challenges in my life.
I'd like to journey with you toward your own fulfilment and a sense of well-being.
I want to listen non-judgementally to your story - your emotions - and help equip you with skills to live the kind of life you are committed to.
DIVERSITY & RESPECT:
Here at Renewal Counselling I are sensitive toward and respectful of diverse beliefs and lifestyles, tailoring therapy to your needs.
I have some specific training in spiritually-oriented (Christian) counselling therapies when desired by my clients. This combines approaches from theology, psychology & spirituality - in a balanced way - as requested by individuals.
