About me

I have a passion for helping others alleviate distressing symptoms of mental illness and finding positive meaning and engagement with life. Opening a private practice has been a longstanding dream of mine, which I operate alongside a career in the fitness industry. I believe in the value of the therapeutic relationship between client and practitioner and aim to cultivate a strong working alliance in which collaboration and trust are paramount. I work from an eclectic perspective, tailoring my therapeutic approach to suit the individual client and their goals for therapy. I draw from cognitive-behavioural methods, person-centred therapy, soution-focused therapy, psychodynamic methods and positive psychology, using evidence-based approaches wherever possible. I am also going to expand my skills in narrative therapy in the coming months.
